Premier announces desalination plant for Binningup
The Water Corporation has been instructed to start planning for the state's second desalination plant which it to be located on the pristine coastline of Binningup.
Binningup residents were shocked by the decision and as one local resident Mr Peter Matthews said "Good decision but WRONG spot" was a common sentiment throughout the community of Binningup.
The Binningup Community Association has started plans to conduct some initial community meetings and is hopeful of electing an action group to tackle the WA State Government on this matter.
